The
toxicology division was established in November 1993. This forensic laboratory
identifies samples taken during autopsies and other investigations. Blood,
urine, and vitreous fluids are scanned for the presence of drugs, alcohol,
poisons, and other foreign substances. The tox report is attached to the
autopsy and assists the pathologist in determining cause and manner of
death.
