The
Pathology division includes forensic investigators, pathologists, and
support personnel. Investigations involve all deaths resulting from homicide,
suicide, accidents, and deaths of a suspicious nature without medical
attendance. Scene investigation combined with medical examination through
autopsy results in a forensic determination of cause and manner of death.
Other services include identification of remains, notification of next
of kin and delivery of personal belongings to the family of the deceased.
